Gint-M has completed a full range of construction, fit-out and engineering equipment for the retail space of Europe's largest two-storied Breguet boutique, located in Moscow's GUM. Breguet is a legend in the world of watches - was founded by the watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet, who opened the first store in Paris in 1775 In 1795, after working in Switzerland, Breguet began to develop his own watch calibers, and in 1816 became a member of the French
Royal Academy of Sciences and a member of the French Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (Chambers of Weights and Measures). The area of the new Breguet boutique in GUM is 380 sq. meters. The first floor is a showroom
where customers can get acquainted with the Breguet watch collection and the brand's jewelery. The second floor houses the official Breguet service center, reception rooms and the first Breguet museum in Russia. Among the exhibits are Prince Sergei Golitsyn's travel clock, a small table clock in four parts that belonged to Prince Shcherbatov, a bracelet watch sold to Anatoly Demidov, and other rarities. In addition, in the museum you can get acquainted with the jewelry-watch technique of applying guilloche patterns: an old manual guilloche machine from 1910 was delivered from the Breguet headquarters in Vallée de Joux to Moscow.
The decoration of the boutique is made of expensive high-quality materials, matte surfaces with applied ornaments are combined in the interior with decorative elements made of valuable wood. “Breguet, the largest two-storied boutique in Europe, is a complex but very interesting project for us,” says Artem Panteleev, commercial director of Gint-M, which acted as the general contractor for the project. - The works were carried out on the first and second floors of the boutique, the basement and even the mezzanine were also involved. In addition to traditional general construction works, we changed all the windows on the first floor overlooking Ilyinka street, which, given the historical status of the GUM building, was associated with constant approvals and clarifications from the supervisory authorities and city communities. As a result, we created a completely new entrance group and a magnificent metal staircase. Many construction works took place during the holidays (May 9), as well as the period of the World Cup, which significantly complicated the implementation of the project, but, nevertheless, thanks to effective interaction with the customer, we managed to meet the agreed deadlines without compromising on quality.
