The team of Gint-M has completed an office project for the Russian representative office of the international transport company Maersk specializing in seagoing freight transportation and sea terminal service. The new 2,400-sqm office of Maersk is accommodated on floors 1, 2 and 3 of Fabrika office center at the address: Saint-Petersburg, 140 bld. 2 Moskovsky prospekt. Gint-M created the office space design concept, developed detailed design documentation and carried out a full range of general construction works, including the design of MEP systems and works on feeble-current systems. The headquarters of Maersk in the northern capital represents roomy open space where it is possible to accommodate not only the current team, but also future employees: in view of the
company’s rapid growth in the Russian market and upcoming staff enlargement from 200 to 330 workers, the management decided to move to a new office in order to plan space for new personnel in advance.
The interior is designed in a modern style, being inspired by nature. Austere and laconic lines in the open space and meeting rooms are supplemented by eye-catching patterns and creative furniture in the lounge zones and spaces for informal chats.
Light hues dominate in the reception zone: white walls and ceiling are complemented by light- grey ceramic granite on the floor and a snow-white stand with the company’s logo. The arched ceiling chimes with window openings as they form a consistent spatial geometry. A decorative wall from strips of wood behind the reception stand and a multitude of plants in the entrance lobby accentuate the nature and environment theme again. Two waiting zones with blue sofas and coffee tables as well as a small meeting room are planned for guests. In addition to roomy open space, the office has two large and 15 small meeting rooms. One of the large meeting rooms having the area of 120 sq. m is meant for general meetings of the company’s employees and personnel training. This space can be easily divided into two rooms by means of a glass partition – the zone with a projector for business meetings and the informal zone with a podium for creative sessions. Small meeting rooms are stylistically divided into formal ones for meetings with external partners and creative ones for in-house meetings. The former flaunt the company’s corporate colors: white and blue with tranquil grey shades added. Bright patterns, nonstandard furniture and poufs prevail in the informal meeting zones. The walls, lined with natural timber and vertical gardening, are another element of the nature theme as they contribute to cozy ambience. Soundproofing and acoustic panels create a comfortable indoor acoustic environment. The lounge zones on each office floor have become a peculiar magnet for employees. The relax zones bear the names of Russia’s key ports: Vladivostok, Novorossiysk and Kaliningrad – with pink, green and yellow tints prevailing there. Comfortable sofas and poufs, book racks and coffee tables with board games as well as decorative plants are set up in each of them. Here one can distract from work, play games or just chat with colleagues. Spacious kitchens with dining areas and marker walls for notes became another space for informal interaction. Warm colors – tender yellow, white and light-grey as well as an abundance of plants and the presence of natural timber in the interior create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, charging people with energy and positive emotions.
“It took the team of Gint-M 2.5 months to create and put into life a large-scale multifunctional office for comfortable work, training and chill-out of Maersk staff. Integrated into the project are interior and layout solutions, high-quality finishing materials, MEP and acoustic systems contributing to a convenient and functional workspace in line with the company’s corporate culture,” says Artem Panteleev, Business Development Director, Gint-M, commenting on the project.
