New Office for FunCorp

Building contractor Gint-M has completed an office project for FunCorp – an international IT developer of play-for-fun applications. The company’s office is quartered in BC White Square, building B. Gint-M served as the general contractor in charge of the entire range of general construction and MEP installation works. Offcon took care of the architectural part. The expiry of lease to the previous office and the need for FunCorp to move to a new office space required concerted effort from the contractors, since one of the client’s priorities was “meeting the deadline”. With that said, nobody was going to lower the office quality requirements dictated by the international standards of FunCorp.

The project is replete with extraordinary and offbeat solutions: island offices with walls of glass having orbed radii, profiled sheeting on the walls, ceilings with utility lines laid bare and painted green, red or dark blue depending on the office zone, eye-catching built-in furniture and designer lighting. “The key challenge in this project was that our builders had to work in an operating business center, with two other tenants working on the fifth floor level where the client’s office is accommodated. It goes without saying that the main construction works were done only at night, since during the business hours we could not even turn on a screwdriver, let alone a perforator or our professional vacuum-cleaner,” says Artem Panteleev, Business Development Director at Gint-M. “Another challenge was the project adjustment in the process of construction. The MC did not give its nod to a number of project solutions, so the parquetry meant for the walls had to be laid on the floor, whereas regular veneer wall panels had to be replaced with fireproof ones that take quite a long time to make. Yet the project was delivered within 2.5 months; thus the client could move to the new office right on time.”
